Hi friends, long time no see!

I want to share something which made me inspired.
One day, I read Kompas newspaper about people's history. At that time, the newspaper told about an Indonesian woman who lived in Singapore named Merry Riana.
She struggled her life from nothing and changed it into something that inspired many people.
She had nothing when her father decided to send her to Singapore to study and then she got her one million dollar in her 26 age!
The newspaper didn't tell the detail of it, so I was curious to know.

In this month, when I was in a bookstore, I looked at her book : Mimpi sejuta dollar. Of course I decided to buy it. The book is so amazing, you can find her blog at http://www.merryriana.com.

Celebrate Chinese New Year and Valentine Together

Hi friends ..
I think this month is a special and sweet month, because we celebrate chinese new year and valentine's day in one day. Right? Do you agree with me? :)
I received the card above as my birthday card actually, but I like to post it now. My cute niece, Anne, gave that card to me and it melt my heart at that moment ...
And in valentine's day Anne also gave me a chocolate gift and also asked her mom to write a letter below :) Yeah, I didn't meet her for a long time after we spent our holiday together in Solo. And she told me to always keep this letter so I remembered that she missed me so much .. She is really cute, right? Hmm I said I love her and hug her ...

We have a tradition to have dinner with family in the night before chinese new year. So we did it in my bro's house. We also played fireworks in that night .. oooo so cool!!! In chinese new year we always celebrate it in my auntie's home. Tadaa ... here's the pictures with their family :

Hi, see you again in my Butterfly .....
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I hope in 2010 everything will be better than 2009 and I could fulfill my dreams.

I call December with Happy Month because in this month usually I spends my holiday in my hometown : celebrates my niece's bday, having a christmas mass with my family, etc. And in this December there's family gathering event because my grandma's sister came from Hongkong. The point is to spend the time together with my family.

Here's my Hello Kitty's birthday cupcakes gift for my niece, Anne.
I bought it from my friend, Shinta. You can check her blog at www.olanos.blogspot.com. Thanks, SHinta! Your cupcake is so beautiful and made my niece happy :)

Anne was so excited when visited her grandpa's chicken farm. She tried to catch one of the chicken but she couldn't .. Her dad and her grandpa tried to help her and voilaaa .... it worked!

Family gathering that usually held once a month. This family gathering was special because my grandma's sister came from Hongkong.

We spent new year eve with family dinner at home and we created a theme for that : Batik dress code!

We spent some days of our holiday in Yogya. Since we stayed at Sheraton Hotel, so everyday we filled it with swimming!! And I made it complete with sauna.

November Rain

See you again in this November Rain. Everyday after office hours always rain here, in Jakarta.
I planned to go to Belitung actually on November 27-29, but unfortunately I have to cancel it because the conditions were not too good. Rain, earthquake .. my friends were afraid that we couldn't enjoy our beach trip there. Hmm I'm little upset because of this, I really love beach and curious to see Belitung; which people said that it's the one of 10 places that must visited before we died. But it's ok, may be we could reschedule for the next time. I hope.

These pictures below were our lunch for celebrating my boss' birthday. Hmm not celebrating actually because my boss never come to these events .. so what we called for it? :P

Next month I will see you again with pictures from my hometown. Ho ho ho ..... :P

Traditions

Hi friends, see you again in this October, sweet month I think .. month of many traditions to celebrate and also my birthday celebration.
Thank God for your very kind blessings in my life.

If we think about October, it reminds us about Halloween and mooncake festival.
And it's all about traditions; something that we do every year .. like giving some cakes to treat when somebody in my office celebrates her or his birthday.

Happy Batik's Day

Dear friends, UNESCO declared Batik as our World Heritage, so our president asked us to wear Batik on October 2, 2009.

I think his request was heared by his people, they were so proudly wearing batik everywhere and also made their pictures in batik like me and my collagues did, and also my niece!! We're so proud too!

Eid Mubarak 1430H Holiday

As usual, my mom came to Jakarta in Eid Mubarak Holiday. The difference is at this time my dad couldn't come because he was busy with his chicken farm activities.

We spent this holiday at my bro's house in Alam Sutera, where my cute lil niece lived.

So, here are the journals :

My mom brought some meals from Solo like : Yummy Widuran fried chicken and also chicken from Sukoharjo (yes, chicken again) ...

Our activities were not too much, just ate, slept and also helped my sister in law to pick up Anne's toy everywhere. Because my sis in law didn't use maid for a long time and she is pregnant now, moreover my mom came and always cooking, so the dishes to be cleaned were never ended :) But it's nice and enjoyable time together with family.

One day, I promised Anne to have Sour Sally when we came to Jakarta (you know, Alam Sutera is Serpong). I thought she will like Sour Sally because she likes the sour taste so much like yoghurt, orange fruit, yakult, strawberry, lychee, etc. But when she had her Sour Sally, she couldn't endure the cold taste. She preferred the topping.

After that, Anne visited Lollipop at Senayan City to play. She was brave enough to play Jumping (I didn't know the name of the game) --> her body is tied with belt and then she could up and down in the air. She was brave enough too to do across the bridge (like flying fox) She was really really brave, isn't she? :)

While Anne played, me, my sis and my mom were shopping and eating at Burger King.

Me, my sis and my mom also visited Mangga Dua, the place that never be left out when my mom came :)

In the night, we're back to Alam Sutera to have our dinner at Bandar Djakarta, Alam Sutera in Flavor Bliss, the new hangout place in Alam Sutera. In Flavor Bliss we found Total Buah, Pisa Cafe, Bandar Djakarta, Radja Ketjil, etc and there will be Hoka Hoka Bento, Kopi Tiam soon.

I believe Bandar Djakarta is familiar for you, it's a branch of Bandar Djakarta, Ancol. The place is always full of people.

She was brave enough too to do this :

Other activities that we do was to do creative. Yeah, you know that my mom is a creative person and she always teaches Anne to be creative too.

If you ever visited my blog before, Anne was taught by mom to arrange flowers and paint the eggs, now my mom brought handmade for making masks. Anne just had to cut the pattern and finished the masks like this and she was so excited to do that :

So, when she learned something new, I learned it too :) Thanks Mom ..

Long Weekend in August

As you see in the picture above, there's a long weekend in August to commemorate Independence Day.

If the long weekend in July I spent it in Bangkok, so this long weekend I spent it in my hometown, Solo. So I achieved one of new year resolution this year : to come home more often, not only just once in a year like before :)

I came to Solo on Friday, 14th August and back to Jakarta on Tuesday, 18th August, 2009.

As usual I did when I came to my hometown, I enjoyed my day with Solo culinary like Bebek Goreng Slamet, Soto Geger, Sate Kambing Pak Darso, Tumpang Mbak Endang, etc.

I also visited my daddy's chicken farm :

My mom also helped my dad with distribute the food evenly.

And I want to tell you that I have a routine activity when I came to my hometown : selling batik!! :) Yeah, that's my hobby too .. May be someday I will focus to this activity and hope you become my customer :) It's sold out now, thank God ...

Summer Holiday

Hi friends, long time no see ...

This month I will share about my summer holiday. As you know, July is identic with school holiday and vacation; besides we had public holiday so we could enjoy a long weekend, do you agree with me? :)

So, in this summer holiday, I spent it in Bangkok only for three days.

I’m so happy because it’s a gift from my office, yeah exactly it’s free and we had pocket money too!! Could you imagine how happy was I? The pocket money made my happiness double J We’re 18 people, organized by tour.

In early plan we’re afraid of political situation there and also their swine flu. We anticipated swine flu by consumed vitamin for a week before and a week after we go. Thanks God we’re all healthy …

Day 1

We went to Grand Palace where the King of Thailand often holds ceremony there. There were so many temples there which were made of gold.

The famous one is Sleeping Buddha or Reclining Buddha : a giant Buddha statue. In that room we could buy a cup of small coins for 20 baht which we could put them into 120 pots, one by one to get some lucky and get the bad luck away from us.

We also went around Chao Phraya River by boat. We saw so many patin fish there. The legend said that white patin could give lucky to people who could feed them. So people in the boat usually sell breads to their customers to feed the fish.

After that we went to Wat Arun, a place that sells souvenirs. Because we had a tight schedule, so the tour guide gave us only 1 hour to shop!!

In the afternoon we checked in to our hotel, Twin Tower Hotel and we prepared to get our dinner cruise at Chao Phraya River. It's a fantastic experience .. The togetherness, the music, the dinner, the view, so perfect!! We went around Chao Phraya River for about 3 hours. We dance, took some pictures, chit chat, enjoyed the moment we shared that never be forgotten.

The dinner cruise ended at 10.00 PM then we went to Suanlum Night Bazaar. We shop there until 12.00 PM and still, not satisfied, still need more shopping hihihi.

Day 2

After breakfast, we visited Gems Factory then Supattraland, the fruit buffet, all you can eat.
When we finished with Gems Factory then we went to Pattaya for about 2 hours from Bangkok.
We checked in to Baron Beach Hotel and get a free schedule. We just walked around the hotel, the beach and walked into the mall in front of the hotel.

In the night, we prepared for watching Alcazar Show, the famous show from Thailand. You will be amazed when you saw this show : the costumes, the stage background, the light, and last but not least, of course the people or the stars of the show. They're all men, but beautiful like women, they had a good body to see, even more beautiful than the women had. Our tour guide told that they drink family planning pills since they were kids. Could you imagine that their parents also want their children to be like that? Unbelievable to thought.
After show, we could take some pictures with them but we must pay 40 baht for each pictures.

Day 3 (The last day)
We visited Honey Bee and took a picture below. It was said that if we took a picture with the bee so we will be lucky. Amennn :) There were 3 products : honey, bee pollen and royal jelly.
For the last schedule, we visited a shop that sells many special foods in Thailand.

And finally, we went to the airport, came to Kualalumpur International airport and transit for 3 hours there. We came to Jakarta at 9.30 PM. Thanks God, You had given me a very nice journey with my friends, all of us are healthy. Bless us so we could have next trip to another country. Amen.

Important events in my family

This month I had two important events to remember.

The first one is my brother's birthday on June 11 and also be his wedding anniversary.
We celebrated my bro's birthday with a family dinner at Hanamasa. Thanks bro for a yummy dinner :)
Happy bday (again), wish all the best for you : happiness in your life! God Bless You all.
Happy anniversary for Dhany & Yennie. Actually they had 2 dates for wedding anniversary because they had holy matrimony in December and wedding reception in June the year after.

The second ones is my parents' wedding anniversary on June 24.
Happy anniversary, mom and dad. Wishing you a good health and happiness in your life too. Thanks for being my parents, thanks for your unconditional love. I love you so much ...

Memorable Moments

In this early June I have some memorable moments to catch in my camera. After I arranged to meet my colleague from Porsche, so finally I met Yuli, Kristin and Nena yesterday @ Sour Sally, FX. Kristin brought her husband and her lil girl, Aletha. It's glad to see them again after may be a year we didn't meet to each other. Hmm I miss you, girl! :)

And you know, we're woman ... sooo after we shared our life we began to have a window shopping around there and of course ... there were photo sessions :) But unfortunately Yuli had to go. Still, we continued our window shopping to another mall, Senayan City without Yuli.

Cika 3 Reunion

It's my pleasure to write the title : Cika 3 Reunion here at my blog.
The time we spent together in our dorm at Cikapayang 3, Bandung really made us close like families. When we're far from our parents, we had to survive, learn, study, continue our life in a town that may be we don't know about it at all. We just helped and shared to each other. So after years we quit from our dorm, there's a wish to meet to each other, not just only talk by email or chat. So that is the reason of this reunion.

This event held on May 21, 2009 at Pecel Madiun BSD which had about 30 people there.
The idea came from Iranie and had good responds from other members of Cika 3.
We had some surprises because the participants are not only from Jakarta, but also from Bandung, Pekanbaru and Solo!!! I think it's amazing, isn't it? They spent their holiday to celebrate Cika 3 reunion, even spent their money for air ticket. Unfortunately, there was a cancellation from Selvi in Bandung because her daughter was sick. Get well soon, Arlene!

Family Time

As I promised, I want to share about my family gathering, my family time.
My mom came to Jakarta on May 8 and my dad came on May 14 with some plans : come to her best friend's daughter wedding, visit their daughters and son, also their grand daughter and spend 2 days in Cipanas together.

On May 16 we went to Cipanas, Puncak in the morning because we're afraid to stuck in the traffic jam. Fortunately, Puncak was not crowded as usual. May be because the next week is long weekend if people on leave just for day. So we're really enjoy the trip! We ate at Rindu Alam restaurant at puncak pass with such a beautiful scene from up above and fresh cool air :) Then we went to Green Apple Villa.

Green Apple Villa has a park inside. We often walk together in the afternoon, in the evening and in the morning :)

We also ate at Sate Sinta, which is famous at Puncak. Last but not least, my mom didn't forget to buy some fruits and vegetables across the street, like tomato, corn, banana and avocado.

We're really had our quality time there : played cards together, shared to each other, watched television and shared our opinions & thoughts, laughed, took some pictures, walked together and I had a horse-drawn buggy with my niece around the villa :)

We're back to Jakarta on May 17, without any traffic jam too.

My mom and dad back to Solo yesterday. My niece cried because of this and made us cried too :) Hmm really thank God for this family time, all things run smoothly as we planned. I'm happy to the fullest. Bless our family and guide us always ...

Wonderful Moments

Finally I visit and write at my blog again ..

After I lost all my mobile phones, I lost my shoes in my office (do you believe it? shoes?? oh nooo) .. I decided that in May I will have wonderful moments to catch, I hope so :) Pray for me.

Why I said wonderful moments? These are the reasons :

I'm thankful because at mother's day, I could spend it with my mom. And my dad will come on this Thursday. We will spend our holiday in Puncak, Cipanas.

Besides, I will get a Cika's reunion on May 21, 2009. Cika means Cikapayang, the name of the street in Bandung. Hmm before I make you be more confuse, let me tell you the story. I come from Solo and had my college in Bandung, so I lived at a dorm in Cikapayang 3, Bandung.
Many college girls came from different town, and had lived at the same address in Bandung.. Untill now, we still keep contact to each other... But after we had our college graduation, we seldom to meet to each other. So, after years, we decide to arrange a reunion. I can't wait till next week!!

So ... the stories have to be continued. I promise to post some pictures soon!

Praying for Our Future

I passed through hard situations in these two months, so unbelievable. But I try to keep positive thinking even it's difficult to do. I just want to still thank God for everything I have. Thanks for my family and friends who support me all these times.

In few days later, our country will have a political parties voting. We will also enter holy week, celebrate Easter and of course holiday for 4 days. So I think it's better for us to pray together for our future : peaceful country, stable government, safe environment. better and brighter day for our life & family .. so we could work better too. Cheers ... for our brighter future!!!

Write your plans with a pencil but give the eraser to God and let Him erase the wrong plans then replace them with His more beautiful plans.

What a busy month

March is a busy month for accountant, tax consultant and auditor, isn't it? Are you agree with me? Because it's a month which we must report our tax to tax office.

But for me, it's not just a busy month; it's also the worse month because this month I lost my mobile handphones at office! Yes, at my office, exactly in my table! O God, I can't believe it because we just used our limited access card at that day! And I still used it at 4.22 pm. I lost 2 mobile phones, my access card and also my favorite handphone case : orange batik case. This pushed me to buy a new handphone that I'd never thought before.

Now I get a bad cold and cough, need some time to take a rest.

Do you realise that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about ageing that you think in fractions.

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

'How old are you?' 'I'm gonna be 16!' You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life .... . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony. YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there Into the 90s, you start going backwards; 'I Was JUST 92.'

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. 'I'm 100 and a half!'
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'

And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Do you know why do I call Special February? Because it's a month that has only 28 or 29 days which one day of them people celebrate Valentine's day. Yes, celebration of love.

In this moment people usually show their loves by sending gifts like parcels, chocolates, flowers, etc. So, some people take this opportunity to make parcels, chocolates and flowers for sales. May be from this time you will find a lot of people selling flowers in the street. I've ever seen it, even at church :) And may be one of your friends sells cakes online like my friend do:

New Office Grand Opening

After pending for some time, finally on Friday, 23rd January 2009 we moved to our new office.
At that day we made New Office Grand Opening that means we say pray, sing, and ask the priest to bless our new office and of course last but not least .. eat!! :D

Before Christmas, I met my oldfriend from my elementary school in SMS, Serpong. So coincidence; we have never met to each other after elementary graduation. May be it's my early Christmas gift : so happy and excited to meet Agnes there. And today she tagged me in a picture at facebook (Yes, a picture when we were kids!!!). Thank you so much Agnes for that picture.

Then I started my holiday in Solo from December 23, 2008. Holiday means refreshing; far from daily activities. So, we ate our favorite food there. We ate bebek goreng Pak Slamet, Sate Pengging Mas Di, Soto Geger, Soto Gading, Nasi Liwet, Gudeg Yu Mari, Rujak, Brambang Asem, Sopsip, Bakso Kalilarangan, etc and of course, my Mom's delicious cooking. Hmm I missed them so much :)

We also celebrated Anne's 3rd birthday in Solo after she celebrated her birthday in Jakarta with her friends. Here we are when we celebrated Anne's 3rd birthday in Solo.

We visited Ungaran and ate famous delicious crab @ Roso Nyoto (Tauco and boiled crab) , before that we stayed for a while in a church near there to make a new year wishes and also to thank God for everything he had given to us.

We also filled our holiday with stay in Bandungan. We played card, swam, ate tofu and drank soybean milk which were famous in Bandungan, also visited traditional market there.

I remember a year ago when I came to Klub Bunga & Jatim Park, Batu-Malang for vacation. It was after Christmas in 2007, about 5 hours from Solo by car. We used 2 car at that time (you’ll know why I tell you this). Klub Bunga is a hotel which we spent 3 days and 2 nights there. If you want to read some books you will able to read available books at library in the air conditioner room. Clean and Quiet. Klub Bunga gave us free coupon for breakfast, lunch and dinner, free coupon for ice cream, discount 50% for Jatim Park ticket and free coupon for water massage. The place where people got the ice cream is so unique; they also sell some potteries there and decorate them minimalist. Klub Bunga has a special link to Jatim Park (a recreation place besides Klub Bunga). Jatim Park, as I told before, is a recreation place that has temple miniature, animal area, swimming pool, etc. Some part is like Taman Safari Indonesia and some part is like Dunia Fantasi. We’re really enjoyed our vacation there until the second day we watched television which said flood everywhere, including in Solo. Not only flood but also slide of hills! It’s time for us to go home in the day after. On the way home, exactly near Madiun, we couldn’t pass the road because of flood! And it was almost night. So we stopped for our dinner and started to think and decide the best solution in a situation like that. We’re afraid because we had a little girl and we had a tight schedule because the day after my cousin will be married! And we had to wait until the flood was over, don’t know when. The worst, tire of my father’s car was flat! So for emergency action, my brother gave his back up tire to replace my father’s (you know what, it’s not the same car type!) Thanks God, it was work! Finally we decided to look for a hotel near there to stay. After hours we looked for through rainy day, we found a hotel in Madiun which very cheap rate: only Rp 90.000,- per room. You must imagine that it’s a small, dirty and bad hotel. You’re wrong; it’s not too small and clean. After we’d spent a night there it’s time for us to continue our way home. We listened to radio and asked the police about alternative way to Solo. We must follow the alternative way which was more far than normal way. Fortunately we could be at home safe and could attend my cousin’s wedding just a little time after we came home. It’s the most adventure journey that I’ve ever had. For the first time, I should say thank you to the police :)

Is it too early to talk about Christmas? I don't think so, because it's early December when we will see christmas decorations everywhere : at mall, at recreation place, or even at our home. We also will hear christmas song everywhere. Yes, people are busy to prepare all of this to make it all perfect. Each mall has a unique and different christmas decorations, christmas tree and all of its stuff. Now I will post some pictures to describe all I told about in above although it's not an updated christmas decoration yet. I'll be back to post some pictures about Christmas of this year soon.
Christmas also means that I'll be home to celebrate it together with my family; also to celebrate my niece's birthday. She's so exciting and can't wait till the day comes :)

Sepa Island

Without any plan, I came to Sepa Island for the first time in Sunday morning; about an hour from Ancol by boat. You know, the islands in Indonesia are beautiful and this island is the one of them so we must be proud of it. Many tourists came and enjoyed to spend their vacation here. We can do many activities here like banana boat, snorkeling, diving, fishing, etc. The weather was so hot so my skin is turned black now :) The water was so clear until I could see the fish from above and I love the water color gradation. I'm sad if the color is compared with the water color in Ancol, it's so dark and there's many rubbish there. Rubbish are everywhere so sometimes they make the boat break down. Funny Stories

Well, let me tell you funny stories from my office ...

fiRSt, this happened when we want to make "bakso" order.
The secretary listed friend's name on the paper and asked me to coordinate it. So I began to ask friends according to the listing on the paper by calling them one by one. I called them like this : Wayan! And Wayan said : Bihun bakso! I called : Betty! And Betty said : No! And then I scratched on her name. Until I called "Mila" for about three times and nobody answered. When I feel strange, I began to think .... And ... nobody named Mila in my office!! The right name is MIRA!!! Then I called Mira! Mira said : No! Then I scratched on her name again. May be you confused and ask : so which part that is called funny story??? Hmm my story has not finished yet. The funny story is when I told everybody why the name on the paper Mila, not Mira ... The secretary suddenly shout : "I can't see the difference between letter L and R!!!" And then you know, everybody laughed continuously ... :P

SeCoNd, today some of my friends bring some cookies like panada, black sticky rice, gendar with pecel sambal. We call it "we celebrate for Obama's win" hehehehe. And then we call black sticky rice with "Obama cookies", do you know the meaning? Think it for yourself :) It's just for fun ...

It's good for us to laugh and live happily :)

Laskar Pelangi

Yesterday I found some new friends : Henny, Nadya and Debby. First, I just know Henny by my work relationship. We were just talking by email and recently we're talking by chatting in yahoo messenger. We're talking to each other about our life and sharing some thoughts about food place then someday we discussed about Laskar Pelangi Movie (Rainbow Troops) and she asked me to watch movie together with her. I agreed and we decided to go to Plaza Senayan. She took 2 colleagues : Nadya and Debby. The nice thing is although we meet to each other for the first time but we feel very close, not feel awkward ... We had our dinner at food court. I ordered Korea food : Han Gang, they ordered Raffles and Sate Senayan. After dinner, we watched the movie with popcorns and drinks in our hands :)

Here is the movie : Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Troops), the box office Indonesia movie.
The story was very touching our heart and made we cried ... This is "the must" watch movie!! I will get the DVD, book and also the song for collection, for sure! I love the story, the song and the moral story : Live to give as much as you can not to take as much as you can .... We must do something with our heart, not just only money oriented so we could dedicate it perfect.
Important lesson for us to live with.
Bravo for Andrea Hirata, Riri Riza, Mira Lesmana, Cut Mini and Slamet Rahardjo; and also the kids in Laskar Pelangi. Proud of Nidji who creates a beautiful theme song for Laskar Pelangi, also Gita Gutawa and Sherina.

Surprised Birthday Cake

Yesterday was my birthday. I celebrate it at my office by bought some snacks from pastel tasty like blueberry roll cake, croquettes and fruit pie for my colleague for 35 people .. (Do I mention the numbers? Yes, for 35 people), so I served 3 kind of snacks for each person. They enthusiastic to give me a happy birthday greeting :) Thanks God to give me a chance to celebrate one more birthday. Of course I pray and also reflect for myself : how my life would be in future; what I have achieved in past and now; what are my dreams and so on ... also be grateful of what He has done to me. And after work I have dinner with my sister, we ate birthday noodle then she asked me to stay a while in her dorm ... and ... she gave me a surprise birthday cake!!! A beautiful package from Eaton that I love the color of that package so much!!! The cake was a fruit cake with kiwi, peach, strawberry, grape and cherry in the surface of the cake and peach inside the cake. Hmmm very delicious cake; the sugar was in a properly taste, not too sweet. Here it is ..... Say Happy Birthday to me :)

Idul Fitri Holiday

After working from time to time so it's time for celebrating Idul Fitri Holiday (yes, a long holiday!).
I spent with my family, include my parents and I'm so glad with this quality time.
It's our family tradition that in Idul Fitri my parents will come to Jakarta (to enjoy the quiet Jakarta) and the children will come to Solo in Christmas.
So .... we spent a day trip to Taman Safari Indonesia because there are some of us that never get there before and of course for my niece, Anne, the little one ...
She was very excited when saw many of animals there just spread everywhere and gave different voices of animals. Anne ride elephant, camel, take a picture with 2 tigers, hmm awesome!! brave!!
Bravo for Anne ..

Do you think that our journey full of traffic jam? No!!!! We only spent in minutes for traffic jam, not for a long time .. fortunately!

And we spent our days just go to mall to mall : Senayan City, Plaza Senayan and FX to see the atmostfear there and my parents so excited with it although they didn't slide into it.

Besides, we spent our days with the best meal to accompany us like Bakmi Kepiting in Mangga Besar, Imperial Chef at The Food Place in Hayam Wuruk. All of them are so delicious!! Awesome.

Today my parents will back to Solo, my home town.
Thanks God to give us our quality time ... to be our guidance ..
Bless my parents in their flight so they could be at home safe.

Activities in August, 2008

In early August I was a little busy in my office when I got two guests from London. I have to give them everything they want. But thanks God everything runs smoothly.

In the middle of August, exactly on August 16, 2008 I move to my new dorm after I packed n brought my stuff step by step to my new dorm. In that day I so busy to move the rest. First sleep in my new dorm with air conditioner there so I would never get hot anymore. The day after that, on August 17, 2008 is our Independence Day and I still busy to move the rest, the big rest like my spring bed, my television rack, my water dispenser and so on. Huuughhh very tired in this holiday. On August 18, 2008 I run in Gelora Bung Karno with my friends. Tired but nice to refresh my body from routine activities.

A lot of events surprised me lately.

I heard from my friend that my best friend when I was in Junior High School is divorced and the one that make me surprised is that she is married again a week ago with a man 8 years younger than she is. My best friend has 2 son and she takes all of hers to live with new husband.
Yeah, every people has its own problems and we don't know what happens in our future.

And also I got a bad news that my friend's mother was dead because of complicated disease.
Friend, deep sympathized for your mom's in memory.
I pray for her that she will be in God's side and her sins will be cleaned.

Yesterday I accidentally found my dormate friend in the busway bridge. Long time we didn't see to each other. She is mature now and more prettier than before. We gave our phone number to each other so we could keep in touch. Thanks God..

My Family Tree

Two days ago, I got an invitation from my uncle in Canada to join Geni, our family tree, The Sulistyo family, that he has built.
It's surprised me and I feel very glad of it.
I join and update my family tree immediately and I'm interested of it. I uploaded some photos of me and my family there, also gave some comments because yesterday was my parents' 35th wedding anniversary. And then I also invite some family that I knew to join too.
I imagine if the family tree has been updated and give a right information about it, it will help us to recognize each other even we're far away from one another.
So to make it fill complete I will assign some people to help me. One person represent for one family I think enough.

Deep Sympathize

One day, I send a message my friend to say happy new year. And I shocked when I got a bad news. My friend married in December and her husband passed away in January, only a few weeks they lived together as husband and wife. It made me think about her always. Her husband passed away because of tree fall. Could you imagine when this thing happened to someone you love? I think suddenly your life will be dark and you don't know what to do in your future.
But thanks God that she was fine, God still keep her in His arms. She could continue her life which is I know that she still feels the pain in her heart.
So, I thank God for everything I have : my family, my friends .. I will maintain a good relationship with them and I will take care of them with love.
I hope I could leave a good mark behind me to people around me.

Growing Up

Her second birthday : Her first birthday :

People always growing up as the time run. I remember when I, my mom and my brother were waiting for my niece's birth in Siloam, it's has been 2.5 years ago. When my sister in law was giving birth, I saw my brother's face was so proud and happy, the happiest face that I've ever seen.
Now my niece's age is almost 2.5 years, she's already school. So funny .. so excited. When people said her name : Elianne Sulistyo she will answer immediately : Yes, Miss!! :) She likes singing very much and talking continuously about Dinosaurs, Dora, Princess and other cartoon characters.
And I never forget when she called me for the first time : Auntie ...

In May 21, 2008 I move to my new office in Sudirman after for 2.5 years I worked for Porsche company in Pondok Indah.
I meet new friends, new building, new street, everything new here. I often think about moving from one place to another place like quantum leap, the popular movie :)When you've done in one place then you have to go another place to live.
So, in this year I have achieved one of my new year resolution.
I want to share about new year resolution that you have to write it on a paper or something n state it clearly so you could make an action towards them.
